The Langatun Nerello Mascalese Cask Finish is a bottling in our Cask Finish series. After several years in a Chardonnay cask, which gives the whisky a delicate white wine accent with beautiful wood notes, the single malt whisky is transferred to a former red wine cask from Sicily for a post-maturing period. As the name suggests, this French oak barrel previously housed aromatic Nerello Mascalese wine.

This bottling is limited to 522 bottles.

Aroma: Intense and slightly sweet with aromas of figs, liquorice, dried apricots, hazelnuts, sultanas, oak and cinnamon buns

Taste: High aromatic intensity and balanced with flavours of brown sugar, fruit salad, red wine, tuttifrutti with wood

Aftertaste: Soft and pleasant, slightly bitter and rather dry with flavours of nuts, dried apples and slightly woody
