Langatun - Nero d'Avola Cask Finish - Single Malt Whisky - 49.12% - 50cl

The Langatun Nero d'Avola Cask Finish is a bottling in our Cask Finish series. After several years of maturation in a Chardonnay cask, which gives the whisky a delicate white wine accent with beautiful wood notes, the single malt whisky is transferred to a former red wine cask from Sicily for a further maturation period. As the name suggests, this French oak barrel previously housed aromatic Nero d'Avola wine. This bottling is limited to 422 bottles.

Colour: Yellow-brown

Nose: intense, sweetish and woody with aromas of red wine in the foreground, some cinnamon, ripe cherry, panettone and nicely toasty

Palate: Very aroma-intensive and subtly sweet with aromas of dried figs and liquorice, with the panettone pervading and accompanying strong woody accents

Finish: Medium length and rather dry with flavours of panettone and wood again, accompanied by roasted nuts
