Langatun - Rye - Single Batch - 44% - 50cl

Langatun Rye Whiskey is a whiskey made from 100% rye. The rye is brought to market batch by batch, with different barrels being married. So-called Krogemann barrels are mainly used. These are former wine barrels that are revitalised and toasted. They therefore give the whiskey spicy and vanilla flavours. A few red wine barrels, in which Merlot or Barolo, for example, were previously allowed to slumber, are also used. This gives the whiskey depth and a subtle fruitiness. The different batches are each numbered by hand.

Colour: Mahogany

Nose: Intense, aromatic and sweet with cereal and wine notes in balanced harmony and flavours of grape marc, peach and caramel

Palate: Pleasant and spicy, with the rye becoming more prominent and the wine receding into the background, accompanied by a subtle woodiness

Finish: Medium-bodied and dry with subtle fruity notes and flavours of vanilla and dried fruit
