Langatun - Cardeira Cask Matured - Single Malt Whisky - 49.12% - 50cl

The successful cooperation goes into the next round. Langatun Distillery has been working together with the winemaker couple Erika and Tom Meier for several years and bottlings. The two Swiss have fulfilled their dream and produce high-quality and full-bodied wine in Portugal. This is stored in oak barrels, which are then perfectly suited for the maturation of whisky. Langatun has also discovered this for itself and now, after the "Cardeira Cask Finishes", comes the crowning glory with the "Langatun Cardeira Cask Matured". This has been in the Cardeira red wine cask for the entire maturation period and has thereby obtained a spectacular aroma intensity. No wonder, if you know the aromatic red wines of Cardeira.

Colour: mahogany

Aroma: intense and slightly sweet with aromas of roses, cloves, leather, orange jam, chocolate, roasted hazelnuts, grapes, apple cider and plum honey.

Taste: very intense and fruity with aromas of pear pastry, rock candy, wine, pickled sour cherries, dried figs with a pleasant woody bitterness.

Finish: very long-lasting, rather dry, slightly earthy and tannic with aromas of bitter chocolate and sour cherries.
