Langatun Moonshine
The name “Moonshine” comes from the USA from the prohibition era, during which the black distillers secretly produced the alcohol in the rural areas at night (by moonlight), in usually self cobbled, fuel pots.
The raw material of the “Moonshine” was mainly corn, often with the addition of sugar and a small portion of sprouted cereal. The Moonshine was used as fresh clear distillate (“White Whisky” or “White Dog”) with approx. 50% Alc./Vol. according to 100% proof brought into the illegal sale. Moonshine is ideal for cocktails and mixed drinks of all kinds.
Of course distilling is done at full moon!
